What do a fish, a Dell computer, and a taco all have in common? My life has been made miserable by at least one of each this week. I feel another almighty three-for-the-price-of-one post coming on!

1.) The fish
Okay, they’re technically referred to as “freshmen,” for those of you who aren’t up on high school lingo. One of my friends that I was at odds with when I wrote The Scarlet Letter is a fish. A fish who hasn’t said anything about the letter I wrote her. Like, are we still friends? Will she ever speak to me again? I think we’re still cool with each other. I guess that my innovative theory from that post I mentioned should be tested before being announced to the world... because it doesn’t seem like it’s worked.

2.) The Dell computer
It was intended to be an upgrade from what we had before. Well, I guess when you do like I did and accidentally create a program that erases the computer’s file registry, anything is an upgrade. Even a computer that takes 2 minutes to load a blank Word document. It’s Windows XP. Go figure. But the experience with getting this computer (in December of 2005) showed me what I value most. The computer. It’s been sucking away my life since I was I learned how to type... when I was 3. I guess having a Dell is a mixed blessing: it’s only sucking my life away half as quickly as an iMac would. :-)

3.) The taco
Let’s just say that nobody at the movie theater wants to sit next to the guy who just wolfed down four tacos.

I think I need to make a phone call to that fish. (Not you, the one in the post.) Should I go for it now or wait for daylight?

 Kristin:

whose the fish... and i would prob. wait till daylight.
